This suite of enamel pins was created for San Diego Humane Society's volunteers as a way to acknowledge years of volunteer service.
As a way to increase awareness and positive association, I chose to illustrate the kitten with a black coat and the rabbit with red eyes because these particular animals face unfounded stigma for their appearance that can affect their general adoption rate.
Volunteers are essential to shelter operations. I was honored to be able to custom illustrate these little tokens of appreciation.
